NCBA Criminal Justice Section

Attorney & managing partner, W. Scott Harkey, was recently appointed to serve on the Executive Committee of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Criminal Justice Section for the 2022-2021 bar year. This will mark his second consecutive year as a member of the Executive Committee. Harkey recently concluded a three-year term as Council Member. The Criminal Justice Section represents the interests of all lawyers who participate in the criminal justice system, whether defense attorneys, prosecutors, or members of the judiciary. The Section is dedicated to helping all North Carolina criminal lawyers better serve their clients and the state. The section is home to over 850 attorney members in North Carolina.

About W. Scott Harkey: Harkey has a wealth of experience in North Carolina criminal law with a particular focus on white-collar matters. As a prosecutor, he litigated some of the most complex cases in modern North Carolina history. Harkey has handled criminal cases in North Carolina’s Federal Courts and over 60 North Carolina counties.
